Exactly what I needed - I have used this many times and claimed on it once. It took a little while (2-3 months ish) to get the refund as I was waiting for the hire company to get the invoices to me, but once they sent it the process was very easy. Definitely will be back!
Needs to be made MUCH more clear that you have to buy this BEFORE the rental, and that it doesn't count if you buy it on the same day. They will not make reasonable accommodations (e.g. doesn't count until the following day, or have to submit a video with a codeword to prove there is no damage, etc.) You can buy a new car, then pay for car insurance after the purchase, so this is not an intuitive rule, especially when paying for excess only immediately after picking up the car. Hiding it away in the more detailed documentation is shady and clearly intended to trick some people into buying ineligible protection. However, I've heard good things about them when you ARE eligible, so 3/5. Please make that more clear. This is a serious problem, in my opinion.

I can't say a lot as thankfully I didn't need to make a claim but so far as taking out the policy it was simple and quick as well as being good value. Much better value than the extortionate rates the car hire company wanted!

Purchasing the policy was straightforward. Mercifully we didn't need to make a claim, so we cannot comment on the claims service. But we were reassured to have the policy in place.
