What is Annual Cover?

Very simply, our annual cover will provide you and your hire car with hire car excess insurance for 12 months from the date you choose the cover to start from.

This differs from our single trip cover which will only offer protection during the selected dates that you choose.


Is Annual Cover Right for Me?

For people who travel regularly and hire cars several times a year, annual cover is definitely worth considering. Not only does it mean you don’t have to keep taking out a new policy each time you hire a car, but it could be more cost effective too.

When you get a quote make sure you look at both single trip and annual prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal for your circumstances.

What Does it Cover?

Annual cover offers all the policy benefits of single trip, and what’s better you’re insured for the whole year.

It’s important to note that there are geographical limits in place. We cannot cover you if you travel to a country that has a travel advisory against it. There are also some specific countries that we cannot cover for various reasons, these can easily be found in our policy wording.



What Happens After 12 Months?

After the 12 months have lapsed, as is fairly standard with many insurance policies, your cover with us will auto-renew. This is so our customers aren’t ever accidentally without cover after they’ve purchased an annual policy with us.

We always get in touch with our customers to let them know this is going to happen before and you can ask us to stop your auto renew at any time, simply use our contact us form and our team will get right on it.

What About Single Trip Cover?

If you think that you might not be travelling so frequently, then single trip cover is the way to go. You can choose the dates that you need cover for and even purchase up to 180 days in advance of your hire car pick up date.
