Easirent
we found the guy on the reception (bob was his name) very pushy in trying to sell us their extra insurance, tried to intimidate us to buy theirs & warned us it could take us weeks for us to get our money re-reimbursed if we had to claim on it, he said that if we did claim on it they wouldn't give the the insurance company any invoices to settle the claim , as that was their policy !! we continued to say no to him but he said what we had was a load of rubbish & wouldn't cover any damage done to the car, a very overall nasty experience,we found this tactic very nasty indeed also he claimed it would take 4 to 8 weeks for us to get our excess deposit back!! not a nice company to deal with at all stay clear!!
This was a disaster. Unless we agreed to pay their excess insurance, which was more than the car rental charge, they cancelled our contract. As we would not do this we were left without a car. We had to make other arrangements for further travel.
Very good.
Cheapest I could find. OK if you want no frills. The staff and location feel a bit dodgy but they picked us up and dropped us off and everything went smooth enough. The car was decent but the air on needed gassing.
Patient given v delayed flight
Great value. Good car. Unfair poor reviews
I have used Easirent for many years because thier rates are very good but this experience was less than satisfactory. When I collected the car they did not have a card reader, some excuse about Internet access in the area however they did have WiFi. To their credit they did give me a free upgrade and the vehicle was excellent. I picked it up the day after I landed at Bristol so didn't require an airport transfer. When I returned the car I was told there was no transfer available due to Covid!! I was forced to walk for 15 minutes to the airport, dragging a very heavy case in very blustery conditions. At 70 years of age with some serious health issues this was appalling. I would certainly think twice about using them again.
Good clean vehicles and very reasonably priced
Booked the car for 3 days 23.33 Pounds per day, asked before it was possible to book with a debit card, they confirmed via website chat that was possible but had to purchase extra insurance for 14.50 pounds per day so, the total booking was 113.50 for 3 days. arrived in Stansted paid a total of 266 pounds for 3 days or no car, take it or leave it... real scam
Just awful. No car, no refund for ages. Rude on the phone, told lies about me. AVOID!
Rip off merchants, offered a shuttle service which did not exist
Absolutely disgusting face to face customer service, my husband was named driver but because he didn’t have a credit card they refused us even though I had mine and we are married!!! They wanted another £190 from us in order to allow him to drive, there was no empathy or advice on how we could move forward……except £££ of course, we bid goodbye and waited in a cold shelter for another bus back to terminal where we got sorted with no issues with Avis who were absolutely professional to deal with!!!!
Abominable. By far the worst hire car company I’ve ever rented from. Two cars, both needed oil topping up - oil warning lamps left, right and centre, tyres low, empty of petrol, nobody answering the phone - everything you dread about hiring cars happened.
Really good value for money and smooth collection.
Unprofessional service. Contradictory advice given over the phone by different agents. Had to wait long periods before being connected to anybody.
Very unfriendly staff and unhelpful regarding issues with vehicle. Charged exorbitant excess on a small car and said one can expect it to be removed off ones credit card after 6-8 weeks upon return!
Great cars and great staff
Travelling from Dublin to Cork by train, which was stopped by fallen tree on line. When we eventually started moving again and I had some idea of arrival time, I phoned Easirent to advise them of the delay. I was told that they only hold the booking for an hour from stated arrival time at booking and that the car was no longer available. They said they had one car left - a 7-seater for well over €500 for 7 days - for 2 people. No chance: made do with taxis. No mention of the one hour limitation anywhere on the "front page" of the on-line voucher - I have not bothered to look at the small print.
