Used the Gold service. Was picked up promptly by very helpful bus driver at T2 and taken to Hertz depot where I simply had to go to car and after checking out through security was on my way. Simple, very quick and the car was in very good condition.
Good value car hire. Car was better than expected. Staff at branch polite and helpful.

€1,500 surprise deposit on arrival that was taken twice locked up our credit card for the week! “Clean” car had an unrecorded large dent in the passenger door. Roof of cabriolet jammed on first night! Emergency numbers were hit and miss! Not the best experience…and we don’t know if the deposits will be released yet!
Told me I needed a bigger car, even after I confirmed it was only me. Told me I needed more insurance. Told me gas prices were $6 a gallon and I should purchase a full tank. Shameless blatant upselling and lies! Found car to have hood open on pickup. Nobody nearby to offer any help, but luckily I did not need it.
Very good value. Car had quite a number of scratches and marks when collecting, so had to do a very thorough check and reported a number of additional marks that were not on the original paperwork. This took a bit of time to complete prior to starting the hire. Had a reasonable wait prior to being served despite there being no queue when collecting the car. The car itself was fine and no issues returning

Car was handed over with a tyre that set off an alarm after a short while after collecting it. We rang Hertz but they wanted us to bring it back to the office with a possible defective tyre! After inflating it, the pressure stayed the same all weekend. Also damage to door trim noticed that wasn't on the damage report. This made me suspicious that a proper pre hire inspection hadn't been done. Worried what else could have been missed. Fuel gauge had a known defect, but I wasn't informed of this until I raised it with the office staff. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the standards displayed by Hertz.
Quick access to car, process was quick. They found a scratch on the car after we left so will need your services later to claim excess back
Suprised that Hertz had a decent deal over the other car hire companies in Tenerife. Comparable price and no queue at the airport.

I was allocated the most damaged car that I have ever seen from a rental company. When I collected the car I asked at the desk about returning it not to the airport but to a city centre location and was told that it was “ no problem and that I’d be charged between Euro10-15 for dropping it off at a different centre to where I had collected it. In the event I was charged £39 because I was supposed to have notified the company about the different drop off.
