RecordGo
The experience was good. However, you need to have time as it is off site. An additional 30 mins.
RG ignored the Car voucher issued by Easyjet and issued their own contract. They refused to accept my own excess policy and gave me three of their own insurance options , I choose the cheapest at 222.50 euros
Very difficult to locate at first as they are not in the Terminal, but in the main car park, Level 1. They are very efficient and also quite friendly, Both the booking process and collection were very easy, as was the return at the end of the hire period. Recommended.
got an upgrade on the car for free, the car was of excellent quality and condition
First time using & hopefully not the last. Instructions on where & when the pickup would happen were spot on. Three assistants on the desk so waiting was minimal. Even though the usual CDW was offered, it wasn't forced. Slight upgrade on original stated car which was also very clean but they still advised us to take pics for our records. No hassle hand back, dropped keys off & transport was waiting to return us to airport less than 5 mins away. Received an ‘all clear’ report back within 2 hours. 5*

We paid for the rental of 3 cars for a business trip. Unfortunately, it turned out on the spot that when collecting the deposit they do not honor debit cards, including Revolut. In addition, the deposit had to be paid by the person designated as the driver. The only solution offered by the employee was to pay full insurance and designate a second driver who would pay the bail with his credit card. The additional charges were double the cost of the car rental and made the offer more expensive than other rental companies at the airport, where we encountered no problems with the rental. We ended up having to rent cars from another company and lost the deposit we had previously paid to Record Go. The staff was very abrasive. I sincerely advise against choosing RECORD GO.
Please, don't give this company a penny. They are scamers. They will fu** with your vacation time and with your money. They gave me a car with a sensor problem at Adblue levels. Than the car stopped with an Adblue full tank and they acused me of that. More, to give me another car, they charged me more than the price i have paid for all rent time. I ve never seen a company like this. Run from them!
Be aware they charge more than 40 euros extra if you arrive at their office after 23:00. I wasn’t informed about that when I was booking, so I find this quite out of order as I should have been informed before booking. They seem to be really hungry for money .
I am deeply disappointed by the appalling level of service I’ve received from your company. After booking a car just three hours before the pickup time due to an urgent situation, I was shocked to discover that canceling the booking is virtually impossible. Despite being a loyal customer, I’ve been met with nothing but frustrating obstacles and unhelpful policies. The fact that I was advised by your staff to contact support, only to be stonewalled by inflexible and rigid cancellation policies, speaks volumes about how little your company values its customers. I’ve reached out in good faith, hoping that my history with your company would be considered, but instead, I’m left feeling completely disregarded. I requested either a credit for future rentals or even a partial refund—something that should be standard practice for a company that claims to care about its customers. Yet, it seems your primary concern is holding onto my money, regardless of the circumstances. This experience has been nothing short of infuriating, and it’s clear that your company prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I will certainly think twice before considering your services in the future and will be sharing this negative experience with others to warn them of your lack of empathy and customer care. Sincerely, Ievgen
Record Go accepted my Reduce My Excess insurance although did still try to sell me their own. Their fully comprehensive package was offered at over €200. Although my car hire was offered on a ful/ full fuel basis Record Go told me I would still have to pay a fuel deposit which was €82.30. I was not informed of this in advance of my booking and so this came as a surprise. Equally surprising was that I was informed breakdown wasn’t included and was asked for €62 for that which I did pay. Having said that collecting and returning the car was seamless although the car was thoroughly inspected at the return station. The car itself was as described and was pretty new, in good condition. I would recommend Record Go but as with most hire car companies I’d still preach caution.
I recently hired a vehicle in Barcelona from RecordGo and even took out extra cover for towing as advised by the agent. Here are the facts: 1. The car had a technical fault when we were about to leave for the airport, forcing us to make a quick decision to avoid missing our flights. 2. We called the RecordGo offices, but received no response. 3. We contacted roadside assistance, who advised us to take a taxi and reclaim the expenses. All calls are recorded, and we provided RecordGo with the call time for proof. 4. We left the vehicle in a secure location, the private parking of a hotel within the Park Aventura Resort. 5.We returned the keys and informed the consultant of the situation. He assured us that it wasn't an issue and that RecordGo would retrieve the vehicle. 6. We submitted a claim for the taxi fare. It took RecordGo four days to respond to my email. They claimed we "deserted" the vehicle, thereby invalidating the extra cover. Leaving the vehicle in a secure, private parking area for hotel residents is far from desertion. They refused to reimburse the taxi fare and unjustly charged me EUR 500 for towing the vehicle. As a result, our car hire bill increased by EUR 700 for two days due to a problem that was not our fault. Despite providing proof of our calls, following protocol, and submitting all necessary documentation, my account was debited, and our evidence was ignored. This experience represents the poorest customer service I have ever encountered. I strongly advise others to avoid dealing with this unethical company. Stay away from RecordGo.
As always the staff tried to sell you insurance extras, giving you horror stories about break down costs etc, which shows the faith they have in their own vehicles. Also they charged me for fuel and said I would be reimbursed if vehicle returned with a full tank, as long as I had a receipt from a garage no more than 10k from their depot. This has incurred a foreign transaction charge on my account and I have not been reimbursed 3 days later. I would say they were very pleasant on the return
I had rented from RecordGo for a number of years prior to my rental in May 2024, when I found that the pick-up and return processes had changed. Online pre-completion of much of the paperwork made for a quick and easy pickup, although I was slightly dubious about the key now being provided at the desk in the airport arrivals area, with minimal staffing presence in the office by the parking bays. As usual, there was limited space and poor lighting in the parking bays, which as always makes visual inspection of the vehicles difficult, but I carried out a visual check and made sure that existing damage was shown on the booking for. On returning the vehicle after 10 days of uneventful motoring I found that there were no checking-in staff by the vehicle return bays, with only one member of staff in the car park office. I did a visual check of the vehicle and then gave the car key, and the petrol top-up receipt to this lone member of staff. Later that day, after arriving home, I found that my credit card had been debited an unexpected payment by RecordGo, with no notification as to what this was for until, after waiting for 2 to 3 days I queried this with RecordGo, and some days later received a copy of a repair estimate for damage which had allegedly occurred during the hire period. The email also included some very poor photographs of the alleged damage, along with much copying and pasting from the hire agreement, with particular emphasis given to the fact that I had not chosen the 'Total Comfort' option when booking the car. This option would have more than doubled the cost of hiring the car, so as in previous years I had opted to purchase separate excess insurance. This was far cheaper and offered better cover than that provided by the 'Total Comfort' option that RecordGo seemd keen that I should consider. Some observations: With no checking-in staff to check for and point out new damage to a vehicle, renters are totally at the mercy of the hire company, with no option but to pay for any claimed damage. Photos provided could of course have been of any other similar vehicle. Damage caused when vehicles are moved after return will always be blamed on the last hirer. Vehicle hire costs have increased considerably since pre-covid. Do RecordGo see taking payments for damage which cannot be disputed, and where 'Total Comfort' hire option has not been taken, as a nice little extra earner?
My mother in law and her husband were tricked into paying extra insurance which is non refundable. They were not offered to pay the security deposit, which is refundable when your return the car. They tried to explain to the employee that they had insurance and therefore wanted to pay a security deposit instead. The employee did not understand and did not want to help. She couldn't handle herself in english, was rude, arrogant and didn't bother to spend time explaining or helping them. They could have used google translate as a service for the elderly. The older people thought the extra they paid was the security deposit and that they would get the deposit back when they returned the car... Record go cannot see the problem and will not pay back the 218 euros which was totally unnecessary for the elderly to pay. Record go deny bad service and try to make us think that their staff are very well trained which must be said to be the biggest joke. It is not about money but about respect, good service and justice...
Good customer service. Great little car. Clean and reliable
Awful company to deal with. You don't get the car you booked. They're all damaged and if you don't go over it with a fine tooth comb before you collect it, you'll be charged for the damage that's not on their checklist.
Service and car good BUT there was a surcharge because I am 70. This was not advised in advance and almost doubled the hire charge!
Had the experience of renting a Mercedes v 250 for 4 days with comprehensive insurance. After the end of the rental 2 days later 125 euros were withdrawn. Wrote to get an explanation. The answer was that I had driven 1400km, which is more than the mileage limit. But I did not drive more than 350km. Asked to check gps trainers and previous documents on this car. Responded that there is no basis for a refund. My mistake was that I did not check the mileage specified in the contract and in fact when I picked up the car, and it was on the car for 1000km more. Be more careful when renting a car from this company.....
