Axle on the desk was a delight to deal with but I was surprised at the shoddy fleet of cars on offer. All looked grubby and battered. I ordered an auto , first car wasn’t that but eventually we got an auto from the battered fleet. If you just want a cheap A to B car fine but I wont be going back.

— Ann • Biarritz, France • July 19, 2025COMPLETE AND UTTER CROOKS!!! Said I was too late to collect car (3 hours) and refused to give me the car despite me having paid for five days hire. VERY unhelpful and could not believe it, as a result I had to go to Europcar and spend an additional £803.00!! Not a great start to a holiday.

The vehicles have a high mileage, have bumps and scratches all over, poorly maintained if at all (the battery was flat after 2 days), poor customer service, no water to clean the windscreen etc. That's why they are cheaper. I was lucky not to miss my flight but and to cancel my plans before going to the airport in order not to miss my flight
