  • NOT a 24hr Service!! Appalling!! We recently booked car hire for our arrival at Brindisi airport with Inter Rent and arrived after a short delayed flight at 10pm. We called the company to inform them of our arrival for them to tell us that they were closing and couldn’t come and pick us up to collect the car. We were told that we should have called (although we were in the air??!!) to let them know and it states their closing time on the voucher, which it doesn’t and also states a 24hr service that requires an additional £44 for collecting or dropping off out of ours (which we would have been happy to pay) after much arguing we were left stranded at the airport with a 3yr old and had to book a car with another company for one day (luckily as many had none available) at an additional €113 and return the following day to exchange and pick up our original booked car with Inter Rent. Even then the transport bus took 20+ minutes to arrive to take us to the company, once there we had to wait nearly 2hrs to be issued our car as the service was appalling with 2 people behind counter (but only one actually working) and we were 1 of 3 customers!!! They even tried to charge us more as the car we booked wasn’t available and they had to issue us a slightly bigger car to which we refused to pay as it was there fault. Under no circumstances would we ever use or recommend anyone else use this company. We hire many cars abroad and never had such poor service. We lost a day of our holiday and were €113 due to their incompetence and lack of regard for customers. AVOID at all costs!!
