Panek
Booked a car (supplied by Panek, booking actually through Holiday Autos) and on booking specified "Central Gdansk", and this was confirmed. Once in Gdansk, however, the pick up point turned out to be an 8km taxi ride away ( so more cost) and then it emerged that Panek don't have any rental office in Gdansk, and the pick up point is...in an underground car-park ! This is just unacceptable. Car delivered by man was far bigger than requested, and he could not even direct us remotely out of Gdansk. On dropping-off the car at Warsaw airport, there were no staff in the drop-off area to inspect car, agree fuel level, agree no damage, etc etc, and I had to walk into the airport, find their office and on asking them to come and look at the car with me was told "we're busy". I asked how I was supposed to be sure that they agreed the above items and the answer was "if you say there is no damage, that is fine, and we'll e-mail you later" Possibly the worst rental pick up and drop off I have experienced, and I have done many. The car, despite being huge,was very nice indeed (luckily)
