He didn't try to offer any additional insurance, we paid for it through reduce my excess...its a must in Lima and Peru as a whole...don't risk it! There were marks and scratches on most panels so the vehicle check was more of a formality. All the same, we took pictures too. The car ran well and without any issues. Alejandro met us at a petrol station to drop off the car to save the airport parking ticket. fair enough with me. He didn't go over the car in detail, just checked for clear accident damage rather than more scratches etc. This was pleasing given the condition. The next day Alejandro sent through confirmation of the deposit return. Although not the professional touch of big companies the experience was better and Alejandro earned our trust with his actions and friendly outlook. Driving in Lima is for the most experienced of drivers.
