  • Bad experience. Long line to pick up the car because client processing is outsourced to another car hire company, which gives priority to its own clients. Claimed an expense on an insignificant scratch that was on a car before hire (it was so insignificant I did't feel like I had to report it even).

  • Long wait to check in........car ordered not available.......had to pay more for what they did have available......poor signage for return.......had to pay unexpected fee at handback......

  • Easy pick up, but no one to available to sign over the car (and any damage to us). Told to take photos, however it was dark and difficult to do so. Drop off much more stressful. Was told to wait 2 minutes, instead waited 15 in 36c heat. The guy checked over the car with a fine toothcomb looking for scratcges. We told him the car was already scratched, we collected in the dark etc and took photos. After a while the guy said everything was fine but left with a bad experience overall.

  • I phoned the company because my flight was delayed by four hours. They agreed to hold the car or so I thought. I had booked the car through Auto Europa on special deal. WHen I arrived they had remained open but told me as it was after midnight ie: the next day I had to have a new contract. They no longer had a class A car and I had to pay E200 inclusive of insurance which I told them I did not need I argued with them but unless I paid I would 'nt get the car. I could understand paying a late arrival fee but this new contract from 35 GBP paid in the uk on the web to E200 for a car without air con! was a rip off. I will never use Maggiore again

  • Most of the time I spent at the desk waiting to be provided with the vehicle was taken up by the member of staff trying to sell me an upgrade, CDW insurance and up front refuelling, all with additional costs. When it was clear I was not going to take any of these the member of staff seemed to become disgruntled and lost interest. I was provided with a vehicle which had a number of dents and scrapes and I took pictures and video and reported them to another member of staff who noted them (or that's what I presume he did as I can't read italian) on the agreement. The vehicle provided was a ford focus estate. The air conditioning did not work as effectively as it should have. Also there was a noise from the rear of the vehicle which sounded as if a wheel bearing was on it's way out and this indicates to me a lack of interest on behalf of the company in maintaining it's vehicles I would think hard about using this company again.

  • Slow at pick up but a lot of customers. Some attempt to persuade me to upgrade, buy insurance excess etc but nothing heavy. Car was new and very acceptable alternative. Easy to find inhte car park. No problems in use and (once we'd negotiated a complicated route back in the airport) very simple drop off. For the price, this was a good experience.
