We have been to Portugal for many years and have used a variety of car hire companies but we can absolutely say that Zitauto is the best and easiest that we have ever used. The pick up is in the car park outside arrival and done with the minimal of fuss. The drop off is in the same car park and done in the time it takes to unload the car. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very good company the car was an almost new Peugeot 208 it was presented in a very clean condition, the hand over was very quick and on our return to the airport after the hire we were greeted by a very pleasant member of the company who quickly checked the vehicle over and wished us a pleasant journey home

Have used this company every time we have been to Portugal on and off now for 30 years, had no problems, the pick up point for the car is in car park 4 which is a bit of a walk from the terminal (but the price you pay for the car is good) so it's worth it.

We've use Zitauto many years back, but since then found better deals through brokers, however there are good reasons for these better deals as usually the cars are not so great and the waiting time at the airport very long. Therefore this year we tried Zitauto once more and found them great. You arrange your booking by email personally with one of their staff, there's no deposit taken and payment is made on the day of collection (preferably by cash). The cars are all around 2 years old now but turn up clean. There are the usual 'war wounds' on the cars but Zitauto have a zero excess policy therefore this is of no concern, but still ensure you mark everything you can see on the paperwork (to be on the safe side). They do however charge for tyre damage, lost keys, & under carriage damage, hence the need for Reduce My Excess of which is fantastic value and peace of mind. All in all car hire from Faro airport is not the best but combine Zitauto and Reduce My Excess and you won’t go far wrong!!
